Здравствуйте! Hello! My name is Katya (formally Ekaterina). I was born and raised in Moscow, lived in Brazil from 2013 to 2025 and then suddenly moved back to Moscow to do my Master's in Teaching of Russian as a Foreign Language. I’ve been a teacher for more than 10 years. My professional story started in 2014, when, a year after my move to Brazil, I began teaching Russian. Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve always strived to learn from my students and stay up to date by attending various teacher workshops, courses, and exploring new teaching materials. My main area of interest is Russian verbal aspects. Since 2023, I’ve been developing a more objective, modern approach to teaching them, moving away from traditional methods. I’m passionate about languages. Russian is my native language, but I’m also fluent in Portuguese and English, have a working knowledge of German and Spanish, and am currently studying Latin, Italian, and Polish. I believe that each new language we learn offers us a fresh perspective and helps us notice unexpected, fascinating details. That’s why I dedicated my undergraduate thesis to a linguistic hypothesis suggesting a connection between the languages we speak and the way we see the world. In our lessons, I want to share this passion for languages with you!
